New Construction Piles in Yachats, Oregon

Scope of work

Situation: The primary challenge of this project was the discovery of very soft soils within the building footprint. Such conditions necessitated a deep foundation solution. The owner was required to install deep foundation helical piles to support required capacities.

Solution: Ram Jack West utilized state-of-the-art equipment to install forty-six (46)

2 7/8" helical piles, meeting all requirements provided by engineer's specifications. The helical piles will support a new exterior retaining wall and interior strip footings.

Results: Ram Jack West completed the scope of work within the General Contractor's timeline while ensuring all other subcontractors met checkpoints and completion dates. Ram Jack West worked directly with Engineering on the specifications and worked through the project in a timely manner. The General Contractor and Engineering team were very happy with the project outcome and the work completed by Ram Jack West. The use of helical piles not only resolved the immediate challenge of soft soils but also provided a long-term foundation solution. The new structure is now supported by a deep foundation that will ensure its stability and durability for years to come.
